Marcus Kenyon

I am an award-winning motion director. Since 2022 I have been agency side with the IPG Health network under Dana Maiman and Shaheed Peera as Visual Director. I worked with agencies around the world to craft award winning case studies and network comms from sales pitches to holiday cards, behind the scenes camera work to interviews on shoots for case study materials. Using my expertise in compositing, editing, motion design, and VFX I created digital content from concept to delivery. When support was needed to finish a pressing client project or help problem solve, I was also on hand to help, having developed a reputation for reliability and a solutions driven mindset.

Prior to IPG, I spent over 20 years at the helm of award-winning creative studio, Finger Industries, as an editor, compositor, grader, motion graphics lead, and live action director. As the Managing Director I would also meet clients, manage the studio team and infrastructure, and focus the direction of the business. The majority of which was in the pharma and healthcare space with forays into consumer advertising and Children’s TV.

My problem-solving approach usually starts with supporting the client, listening to their wants and guiding them creatively to a solution. Disagreements can often happen in a creative environment particularly with a non-creative client; that push pull is what drives the work to be the best it can be, it is part of the process. In my experience it is vital the client needs are met for their campaign whilst the creative intention is not lost; leadership and direction require a solutions-based approach to guide. I don’t believe in 'no's’ and I love those ‘aha’ moments.

Kit wise I am fully set up remote with a PC workstation running the Adobe suite and various plug-ins. I also have a professional Blackmagic film camera and Canon stills camera and associated kit which really helps with reference material, behind the scenes and low budget shoots. I am based in Derbyshire and I am happy to commute to accessible major cities as required. I am also fully insured via Hiscox.

I am fully trained in all Adobe software and that is my primary set of tools, with associated plugins. Alongside that I can use Resolve and other software and don’t find an issue in adapting to new software released, keeping up to date with the latest programs as part of my continued professional development. I also come from a 3D heritage so while I no longer use that professionally I have extensive experience in 3DS Max, 3d modelling and animation and render services.

I am proficient in Generative AI such as Midjourney, Runway, and Elevenlabs using for mock ups, ref and dev work as required.
